Interproximal stripping
Reduction of the enamel of the teeth on both sides of the tooth. This procedure is preformed to create space for crowded teeth.
鄰面去釉是通過牙齒鄰面釉質磨削、成形、磨光而獲得間隙,減小牙量達到矯治目的的一種方法.主要用於"邊緣病例"或"Bolton"指數異常的病例.成人矯正與青少年矯正不同,成人沒有生長,只有牙齒移動,而且是小量牙齒移動
鄰面去釉是對第一大臼齒之前的多個牙齒的鄰面磨除僅僅0.25mm厚度的釉質層,獲得約5～6mm的牙弓間隙,從而解除成年人牙列輕度擁擠或上下牙弓內的牙齒不協調(即Bolton比異常)等錯牙合畸形的矯治方法.儘管鄰面去釉目前已廣泛地應用於臨床,但是把鄰面去釉與片切混為一談者不為罕見.
