Non-compliant class II and class III patients. (不需要病人配合戴用的二或三類錯咬病人)
- Class II correction in dolicofacial patterns. (改正二類長臉型的病人)
- Unilateral class II or class III correction. (單側二類或三類的錯咬病人)
- Congenitally missing cuspids or bicuspids and complete space closure is desired. (In these situations, the Eureka Spring provides anterior mandibular anchorage against which to mesialize the posterior dentition, utilizing
concurrent Class I force.)

spring的使用禁忌症(Contraindications)
Patients with the following conditions would probably be better or more simply treated with therapies other than Eureka
Spring: 
- Class III with anterior open-bite. (有三類錯咬且前方開咬的案例)
- Low angle (brachiofacial) skeletal form in which downward and backward mandibular rotation would be desirable. (骨架是短臉型,下顎是向下,向後旋轉生長的)
- Procumbent lower incisors where additional anterior movement of these teeth would be undesirable (when using class II ES).
