Dr. Kondo, who practices in Toyko, Japan, received the Joseph E. Johnson Table Clinic Award at the 2003 AAO Annual Session in Hawaii. He also serves on the editorial board of the World Journal of Orthodontics.

The cases that will be presented during this lecture were treated eliminating unfavorable factors through reconstructing occlusal plane together with normalizing tongue and chewing muscle activities when both jaws were harmonized antero-posteriorly and vertical-occlusally. Long-term stabilities were obtained as a result of stable occlusion, balanced lip profile, favorable peri-oral muscular activities and normal nasal breathing. Subsequent growth and occlusal changes occurred by aging but became more harmoniously balanced.
